NATURAL SCIENCES 190-WEB Extreme Weather
This course provides an introduction to basic concepts and applications for severe and hazardous weather. Analysis of weather maps, diagrams and computer models will be used to forecast for blizzards, severe thunderstorms, tornadoes and El Nino events. Laboratory exercises that center on weather forecasting for severe weather events are interwoven throughout the course and students will use real-time data to analyze the current and future states of the atmosphere.
