COMMUNICATION STUDIES 190-A Film Criticism
Film Criticism introduces students to the key terms and analytical tools used in the critical assessment of motion pictures. Students will apply narrative, technical, and aesthetic concepts to historical and modern movies. The course will pay special attention to directors and major themes that influence their works, including contemporary auteurs such as Jordan Peele, Steven Spielberg, Greta Gerwig, Christopher Nolan, and Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu.
