WORLD LANGUAGE & CULTURE 150-WEB Decoding Cultures
An introduction to the theory and practice of intercultural competence. Students employ critical thinking skills to analyze culture-specific products and practices, such as traditions, customs, social institutions, intercultural relations, stereotypes, and other relevant areas of inquiry. Comparison and contrast of underlying native and nonnative cultural perspectives will be central to the course.
