HONORS 290-B Mental Health Crisis
This course will explore the current mental health crisis in the U.S.. Various determinants of health (education, economic, social, political, spiritual, cultural, healthcare, etc.) will be studied as well as relevant inequity and disparities as they relate to mental health across the lifespan. Student will investigate: a multitude of mental health conditions and diagnoses, the interconnected factors that contribute to this rising issue, narratives of the various populations struggling with mental illness, interactions with those working with individuals facing mental illness.
